Track One

Foundations

Track One begins laying the foundation of biblical counseling principles and practices, family relationships, and the Christian life. This is the track required for NANC certification.

Topics include:

  • Key elements of biblical counseling
  • What makes biblical counseling biblical
  • Comparison of counseling philosophies
  • Doctrine of spiritual growth
  • Marriage roles and parenting
  • Rules of communication
  • Depression
  • Forgiveness
  • Anger, fear, and worry
  • Video case observation

Track Three

Adding the Structure II 

Track 3 continues to bring in additional training and topics relevant to the practicing biblical counselor, including the use of case studies. 

Topics include:

  • Handling the past biblically
  • Working with a physician
  • Church discipline
  • Demands for true discipleship
  • Consequences in counseling
  • Financial concerns
  • Hope for people with fatigue
  • Old Testament narratives in counseling
  • Starting a biblical counseling ministry
  • Video case observation
