The ministries of FBCM are currently six fold.
1. Counseling Conference
|
What began as the "missionary conference" for a dozen people has turned into a 6 track counseling conference serving over 1,600 in 2008. Our Biblical Counseling Training Conference is designed to improve the counseling skills of pastors, missionaries, and lay leaders. We hope to begin offering a BCTC in the summer in the years to come. |
2. Monday Basic Training
| Our Monday Training Program is designed to help attendees gain greater knowledge and skill in the area of biblical counseling. Since we limit our class size to 25 attendees, the training is much more personal. This program is offered three times a year and incorporates both lecture and actual counseling observations. |
 |
3. Counseling for our Church and Community
|
Every Monday our counseling staff, which is made up of both pastors and trained lay leaders, offers free biblical counseling to those who are hurting. All our counselors are certified (or in the process) by the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors. |
4. Nehemiah Conference
| The Nehemiah conference is designed specifically to help pastors and church leaders with strategic planning. Faith Baptist Church has experienced the blessing from the Lord in our attempt to be good stewards |
 |
| of all the resources entrusted to us. We believe that you will experience many of the same blessings. We did not host a Nehemiah in 2008 in order to care for our third 5-year ministry plan, however, our next conference is scheduled for June 16-17, 2009. |
5. Starting a Counseling Mininistry in a Local Church Conference
|
In 2007 we hosted our first conference specifically geared toward starting a counseling ministry in the church. The response was nothing short of extrodinary. We are planning a second conference in the late Spring of 2009. This short conference will expose all attendees to our Monday evening ministry and to the leaders of various aspects of our ministry in order to help churches begin their own biblical counseling ministry. |
6. Overseas Conferences
| In 2006, FBCM offered its first counseling conference overseas - in the country of Moldova. This year will be our third trip to Moldova and we are developing an international relationship with Brazil set to begin in 2009. We hope to develop a series of international partnerships in order to spread biblical counseling around the globe. Our main challenge at this point is not finding places to go, but having the resources to actually do them. |
