Mission Statement

The Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling is a graduate-level program designed to equip pastors, missionaries, and lay men and women as biblical counselors in order to serve those in need within the student’s ministry context.

Core Objectives

Sufficiency of Scripture: To provide students with a biblical worldview by emphasizing the theological foundation along with the principles necessary to continue to study and gain understanding of God’s written Word.

Academic Excellence: To encourage the development of critical thinking skills necessary to biblically evaluate the various truth claims by psychology and other related sciences within the counseling movement and then to create a biblical approach to counseling and discipleship.

Spiritual Development: To encourage students to develop a more meaningful relationship with Christ that can be seen in both their godly character and their service.

Relationship Development: To facilitate meaningful relationships within the student body in order to prepare students to develop godly relationships in their respective ministries and to evangelize the lost in their communities through relational ministry.

Equipping for Service: To equip students with the knowledge, capacity, and experience for effective counseling and discipleship ministries in order to reach their communities in our ever-changing and pluralistic society.
